An outcome of CES Government 2015 was an invitation by the Cyber Crime division of the FBI for a closed briefing on cybercrime, cyber security and our Nation’s evolving strategy to combat this escalating threat. Members will be required to clear a background check for this briefing. Executive Director Mary Shea Sutherland will contact members to secure appropriate information.

Regarded as the GBEF 2014 program highlight, the Forum will feature prominent state and Federal leaders in a disciplined, but informal and highly interactive exchange on the state-Federal connection, and in particular, on the special relationship Virginia government enjoys with Washington as a result of its large Federal footprint. GBEF members will be invited to invite guests as appropriate and as space allows.

Three GBEF roundtables will be scheduled with prominent political and career government Technology executives who will be participants of CES Government 2016. Members will be invited to introduce and lead these discussions as interested and appropriate to the issue. We anticipate discussions to relate to the CES Government 2016 program theme.
GBEF members will be invited to Las Vegas for a preview of the CESG 2016 conference and program venues. A one-day meeting agenda also is planned and will include briefings on Las Vegas security systems - cyber and physical, together with discussions at the Las Vegas National Fusion Center focused on interoperable communications and information sharing across government jurisdictions and critical infrastructure operations. The exact dates will be communicated when the agenda is confirmed.
